HEART AND DAGGER (J. N. S.)

A few years ago my cousin Aaron asked me to draw something special for him. Our Grandpa passed away in 2017 and he was a legend. A great man and a Godly man. Grandpa had a heart and dagger tattoo on his forearm that he’d gotten back in his Army days. Aaron asked me to draw him his own heart and dagger tattoo to use as a sort of template for the tattoo artist. I took this project to heart. I tried to draw something in the form of a tattoo that was simple and that carried a lot of symbolism. Aaron took this to his tattoo artist and he absolutely brought it to life. This was such a special piece for me and I was honored to have been able to be a part of Aaron’s artistic tribute to our incredible Grandpa. I am now presenting the flash I illustrated in the form of a VGS shirt.
